Our 7-Step Program

Round 1 - Early March

An early dose of slow-release fertilizer provides essential nutrients, plus crabgrass pre-emergent is applied. Timing is crucial to effectively prevent and control crabgrass for the season.

A second application of crabgrass pre-emergent plus fertilizer is applied to extend control into the summer months.

At this time, we also blanket spray the lawn for broadleaf weeds killing them before they’re ever visible to clean up any early season growth

These rounds are completed together during the same visit.

  • Application of a slow-release early summer fertilizer
  • Spot treatment of any visible broadleaf or grassy weeds
  • Application of grub control at optimal timing to protect the lawn from insect damage
  • Nutsedge control is available as an add-on to your treatment program, particularly following a wet season.
Application of an organic, non-burning fertilizer along with a humic soil conditioner to improve soil health. During this visit, we actively monitor for any signs of these weeds and treat as needed with post-emergent applications:
  • Broadleaf weeds
  • Crabgrass breakthrough
Nutsedge control is available as an add-on to your treatment program, particularly following a wet season.

As summer heat breaks, this is the ideal time for aeration and overseeding.

  • Thorough aeration
  • Overseeding with approximately 5 lbs of premium tall fescue per 1,000 sq ft
  • Additional seed applied in thinner or bare areas
  • Starter fertilizer applied to promote germination

For customers not selecting aeration and overseeding:

  • A fall slow-release fertilizer is applied
  • Spot treatment of weeds is performed

Application of a winterizer fertilizer to prepare the lawn for winter.

This lawn care fertilizer service helps:

  • Store nutrients in the root system
  • Promote a stronger, healthier lawn coming out of dormancy in the spring

Retaining Walls

Retaining walls serve both structural and aesthetic purposes. We build walls designed to hold back soil, manage elevation changes, prevent erosion, and create usable, defined outdoor spaces. Whether you need a load-bearing wall or a small decorative garden wall, we can design and install a solution that fits your property.

Our preferred system is VERSA-LOK, known for its strength, durability, and clean appearance, though we are happy to work with other materials based on your preference.

Landscape Edging

Landscape edging creates clean, defined borders for your beds while improving long-term durability and reducing maintenance.

We install a variety of edging options, including:

  • Tumbled stone edging
  • Non-tumbled stone edging such as Bella Border

Our Installation Method

For retaining walls, we excavate the area and install a properly compacted limestone base to ensure structural integrity and long-term stability.

For landscape edging, stones are set in a light concrete base for durability, which provides:

  • Prevention of movement during freeze and thaw cycles
  • A firm, secure edge that will not shift or roll over time

This results in:

  • No tripping hazards
  • Clean, consistent lines
  • A professional, finished look

Functional Benefits

Adding edging and retaining walls can:

  • Reduce the need for trimming and maintenance
  • Create clean separation between lawn and landscape beds
  • Improve drainage and soil retention
  • Enhance overall curb appeal

They are especially useful around:

  • Home foundations
  • Air conditioning units
  • Property borders
  • Sloped areas

Weed Prevention Options

Spring is one of the best times to get ahead of weeds before they have a chance to take hold. We can apply pre-emergent treatments to both your lawn and landscape beds to help stop weed seeds from germinating early in the season. Pairing spring cleanup with a pre-emergent application is a straightforward way to reduce weed pressure throughout the summer.

Ongoing Seasonal Maintenance

For customers who want to keep their property looking good all season, we also offer ongoing lawn and landscape maintenance support after your spring cleanup is complete. Whether you need regular mowing, fertilization and weed control, or additional landscape bed upkeep, we can put together a maintenance plan that works for your property.

Fall Landscape Bed & Property Cleanup

Leaf removal is just one part of getting your property ready for winter. As part of our fall cleanup service, we also clear out landscape beds, remove sticks and branches, and clean up seasonal debris across the property. We can cut back or clean up plants as appropriate for the season, giving your beds a tidy look before the cold sets in. A thorough fall cleanup also helps protect your lawn from the damage that heavy, wet leaf coverage can cause over the winter months.

Why Act Before Winter?

Leaving heavy leaf buildup on your lawn through the winter can block sunlight, trap moisture, and create conditions that damage grass over time. Getting your property cleaned up in the fall sets you up for a healthier lawn and easier spring startup. Whether you need a full-service cleanup or just help hauling debris away, we make the process straightforward.

Improving Curb Appeal & Property Safety

Regular trimming and pruning does more than just keep your property looking sharp. Keeping growth in check reduces the risk of branches damaging your home or roof during a storm, prevents shrubs and bushes from blocking entrances and pathways, and helps your plants stay healthier over time. It also makes a noticeable difference in curb appeal, giving your property a cleaner, more cared-for appearance throughout the season.

Debris Cleanup Included

After every trimming or removal job, we clean up the debris and haul it away. You will not be left with a pile of branches and clippings to deal with on your own. We leave your property clean when we are done.

Preventative Lawn Care Practices

In addition to treating active disease, there are steps you can take to reduce the chances of lawn disease taking hold in the first place. As part of our lawn care services, we can help with:

  • Proper fertilization to keep your lawn healthy and better able to resist disease pressure
  • Aeration to improve drainage and reduce compaction that can contribute to fungal conditions
  • Overseeding thin or bare areas with grass varieties that hold up better over time
  • Adjusting lawn care practices to reduce conditions that encourage disease

A healthy, well-maintained lawn is always less vulnerable to disease than one that is stressed or neglected.

Why Quick Treatment Matters

Lawn disease can spread quickly, especially during warm, humid weather. What starts as a small patch can expand across a significant portion of your yard in a short period of time if conditions are favorable. Treating the problem early limits the damage, reduces the area that needs to recover, and saves you money compared to dealing with a much larger problem later. If something looks off with your lawn, it is better to get it checked sooner rather than waiting to see if it clears up on its own.
